<p>I was accepted as well. I was reading one of the threads from 2005 or 2006, which said they had 15 or so alternates; RSI usually conflicts with MOPS, so there are usually a couple of people who opt for the latter. Good luck!!!</p>
<p>Rejected too. Not a shocker really, but I think all of us had that mad hope.. that could only be realized for a few. Oh well, CONGRATS to those that made it! What are you people that also got rejected planning to do with your summers?</p>
<p>how about a crazy question: what if someone knew he / she was first alternate, and would get in if you dropped out. how much would they have to pay u to drop out?</p>
<p>I guess most people who got into RSI are from well to do family. The amount of money an alternate CAN pay to someone to drop out will be insignificant.</p>
<p>Hey, realistically, no alternate can pay a couple of million, let alone be a billion. No one will take his/her offer seriously.
If an alternate can indeed afford to pay 1/10th of this amount, he/she does not need RSI.</p>
