Research Track?

Looking around it appears that some med schools have a (somewhat) formalized research track of some sort , sometimes as a Master's , sometimes times just as a "pull-out year" . It appears to my untrained eye that Case through it's Lerner program, Yale, Baylor, UT Southwestern have programs set up to accomodate this. I know there are others , does anybody have a list? Or other names?

It's intriguing.

The epic one of them all is Duke. Full year of research in third year and can be highly customized. Amazing.

Northwestern and its Research Thesis Program (RTP).

stanford has a program- it's a 5 year program and you do research for at least a year.

ec, I looked at that in the MSAR. I need to look at the Stanford site because when I read what MSAR had in the blurb I was concerned (med school can last 4-6 years but don't worry -we don't charge much for the extra time  or words to that effect).
