Research

What is the deal with Michigan and their undergraduate research opp.? I am planning on going into the sciences (possibly pre-med) and would love to have the opportunity to be involved with this type of thing. Anyone have an insight?

It is an excellent program. It connects Freshmen with research opportunities from day one. It also houses students in Mosher Jordan, one of the cooler dorms.

Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, University of Michigan

I recommend that any student interested in research apply for this program. The odds of getting assigned to a project are actually quite good.

I've done research for about 1.5 years here, but never did UROP because I heard it wasn't that great. Apparently, they make you do a lot of extra stuff in addition to research.

It's pretty easy to find research here at UM without the help of UROP.

All UROP students are assigned to Mosher Jordan?

No, all MRC Students are assigned to Mosher Jordan. MRC is the Michigan Research Community.

^Thank you.

Any MRC kid willing to share experiences and thoughts?

^ I'm interested too.
