<p>In a book about the West Point Class of 2012, a cadet joined the Army Reserve between his Junior and Senior year. He then went on to finish High School as a normal student and then went on to West Point. Is this a common occurrence? Am I able to do this as a USNA candidate but with the Naval Reserve?</p>
<p>If I don't make it in this year, I was considering this route. Going through training in the summer, then going on to a community college for a year. Reapply, and if I get in.. I'd be able to validate some core classes, and have the opportunity to double major. Would any complications arise?</p>
