<p>I should probably already know this, because we've been through it already once, but...does anybody know when Res Life sends out notification to incoming freshman of their dorm, room and roommate assignments? I seem to recall it having come some time in July, but don't recall precisely when. </p>

<p>I have always said that the coolest dorm can be found easily because it has a huge green F on the front....or at least I think that is the front :). Also, don't let the crazy Alumni people fool you, those stairs are dangerous and being the "center of the universe (at least according to them)" is highly overrated. All it means is that they are in the middle of everything, and hence, not really close to anything but equally far from all the good things.</p>
<p>I just don't want Carroll- I've heard it's pretty far out from most everything.</p>
<p>so which dorm's closest to pretty much everything? (like for freshman since we all take stuff like math, science, PE, etc)</p>

<p>North Quad and God Quad are nice because they're near LaFortune and plenty of other dorms. South Quad is nice because the DH and Reckers are right there, along with Main Circle. Mod Quad is nice because it's near the Library and LaFortune (sort of), and there isn't much creepy alumni traffic there on game weekends. Carroll...uh...has a nice view?</p>
<p>ahhh now i'm not worried about who my roommate's gonna be but about which'll be my dorm!!!</p>

<p>Dillon isn't bad but Fisher is still closer to Reckers, the Rock, and South Dining Hall.</p>
<p>Don't worry, you will love any dorm you end up in. If you can't tell, we do. As for the roommate, it is pretty random, but it usually ends up working well...you may be surprised. If not, make a change, not a biggie.</p>

<p>wowsers--if you log into insideND you can see who your counselor is--i emailed mine already just to get to know him. he gave me my ap scores too so i didn't have to pay that stupid 8 dollar fee to find them out early! lol</p>
