Hello!

I just finalized my housing choices:

O-house

Reed

Mary Lyndon

I registered for housing at the end of December, but the roommate I requested didn’t apply until April. I know that O-house and Reed are both very popular, so I would like to know what our chances are of getting into them. Also, does UGA group freshmen together in O-house and Reed, or are they scattered on different floors? Thanks in advance!

If you get into a room, your roommate should automatically come too. No worries there.

I think your chances are pretty good–I managed to get into Myers when I applied in February, and that’s another very high-demand hall. Don’t know how the freshman grouping thing works, though.

I think housing priority for roommates goes by the date of the last one to register. So, you’re going to be bumped down the list with this roommate.

Yeah, I’m aware of that. I think it’s more important to me to have a good roommate than a good dorm I guess.
