Hi I’ll be heading up to PSU in about a week for summer session and I had some questions about the residence hall policies. My girlfriend wanted to come to PSU to elevate the 4th of July. And I’m not talking about partying- she just wants to see fireworks and get ice cream from the creamery. But anyway, am I allowed to have someone of opposite sex stay in my room as long as I have my roommate’s consent? Also, I noticed that there are cot rentals but I cannot find the price anywhere. If anyone could tell me the rates for cot rentals that would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I don’t know about cots, but Penn State doesn’t care if you have the opposite sex in your room. In fact the visitor policy says that overnight visitors of any gender can stay, but not longer than 3 days. I was surprised to read that because when I went to Penn State we had to sneak the opposite gender down the hallway. Or, I mean, I heard people did that. 
No alcohol allowed in rooms though. That’s still the same!
