Residence Halls at Notre Dame (Stanford)

Hey guys I’m going to be a freshman at Notre Dame in the fall and I just got placed into Stanford Hall. Do any current students know anything about Stanford? Is it a good hall? Are the guys cool? What’s the general reputation of it? Thanks!

don’t know a ton of guys in Stanford, but it’s a good hall, well liked in a decent location.

The one thing I can tell you is that chances are, you’ll make some of your best friends in your dorm. The dorm itself doesn’t matter as much as how much you jump into the culture. Try to reach out to the other Stanford freshman and find the people you really click with. Do as many meet-and-greet activities as possible, the people I met my freshman year have become some of my best friends who I hangout with all the time.

My freshman year roommate was my sophomore roommate, will be my junior roommate, and we’ve already signed a lease for an apartment senior year. On the other hand, one of our good friends didn’t get along with his roommate: one was super macho/ROTC, the other was more into music and writing for the newspaper. While they didn’t particularly like each other, a mutual respect made them cordial and get along.

Okay~here goes, an opinion of a ND mom! Stanford is connected to Keenan, hence huge dorm rivalry-all good fun! It is on North quad, so you will likely eat in north dining hall. My son lives in St. Ed’s and so is a neighbor of Stanford and has lots of friends there. He likes the guys in Stanford. They have a good rep. It’s a fun place. No matter where you end up at ND, by the end of Frosh-O, you will believe that you are in the “best dorm on campus”…it’s a fact! Enjoy!!! Go Irish!!!

Stanford is a good hall! A lot of athletes live there. like IrishCali said, it is connected with Keenan and they are rivals/ Stanford is on North Quad. like she said, no matter where you live, at Domerfest (part of Frosh-O) you will constantly be saying “Hey have you heard about Stanford yet? It’s the best dorm.” to all the girls ((not kidding))

OP - if you ever come back here, and for all others who read this thread: As you are no doubt now aware, Stanford Hall excels all others by leaps and bounds. Lol.
