Just got assignment. Does anyone know what Alumni Hall is like?

i got lyons. anyone?

sure guys.. alumni is probably the FAVORITE guys dorm on campus. Its right by the main circle at the front. Its old and its really cool looking.. They usually have a lot of parties and A LOT of dorm pride. THe guys there really seem like the frat boy types.

Lyons... THat ones really nice too. IM partial to the old dorms.. even though i got lewis (possibly the worst) Lyons is at the end of south quad.. right next to morrisey. Its right next to the rock (the old gym) which will be nice if you like to work out or have pe classes there. Its also near the lake.. has a GORGEOUS big arch in it that overlooks the lake.. and has a volleyball court behind it. Its pretty cool

by the way if ANY nd students have questions for me let me know! i was addicted to this thing last year when i was an incoming freshman and i remember there was so much i wanted to know.. so ask away!!!

I second, I will be a junior at ND (I transferred in after my frosh year) so if you have any transfer or ND questions feel free to send them my way. You can email me through my profile.

Alumni isn't bad, I have a lot of friends there, but the rooms are very small! Be sure to keep that in mind when packing.

Most of my female friends are in Lyons and they love it. It seems to have a good amount of spirit, is a nice dorm, and is in a good location (as is Alumni, I am partial to South and West quad). Both dorms get my thumbs up (they aren't Zahm, which helps) but really all the dorms are pretty good!

I was assigned to Siegfried.. any info?

Siegfried is a solid hall and I came very close to selecting it (with being a transfer, I didn't have housing first semester. Because of that, I got my choice of halls for second semester when they had space). Siegfried is one of the newer halls and the location is decent for how it goes (I would have been there had it been on South Quad or West Quad). Good community and I love Fr. John, the rector. I really think you will be happy there. Let me know if you have any specific questions about it.

Hey groundhog... apparently lyons and alumni are brother/sister dorms this year!
