i live in greenbriar. and i leave my door open, and i'm always around people. and when i hang out at new rez, they all leave theyre door latched. and before meals, we walk around and knock on our friends doors.
i'm sorry that you think upper rez is the only place to party, but you're wrong.
the 1st floor of greenbriar is one of the biggest party spots this year. they all leave their doors open, and they party all the time. together. and they cook togheter. .

and the people in solin develep great relationships because they tend to commute together. just because you didnt fit it, doesnt mean that other people dont. and maybe you didnt fit in because the whole time you were getting ready to leave solin and go to upper rez.

Just out of curiosity, is renting an Apartment in Montreal still as hard as it used to be. Also, what is the average rent these days for a Studio or 1 1/2 apartment anyway?

Since the New Rez opened up, apartments in the Ghetto are
readily available. A decent 1 and 1/2 near McGill costs about
$575-600 Cdn all inclusive.

i am not saying u dont have fun elsewhere...

its just u have the most fun and the best college experience in upper rez and u wont know what ur missing out on till ur experience the real thing...

as for greenbrier..i have a friend on 3rd floor this year...i went to visit her last month, found the place totally dead but u definately have expcetions and university is what you make of it in the end...

and ofcourse everyone has their own perferences..so my opinion is not gonna be valid for most people

but if u are the typical university student looking to have the time of ur life in first year...best choice is upper rez...tats my opinion

as for solin..the studios are big and extremely hard to get...say u have some allergy or medical condition u have a better chance of getting it...
but honestly solin is such a dull and isolated place..u really dont feel part of mcgill...its like living in some urban ghetto and commuting to school everyday..i lived there i know what i am talking about..if u really want an appartment choose greenbrier as first choice

i guess since u will be cooking with ur suitemates there is possibility of accidently eating something u are allergic to...

last year i remember that most of the people in the solin studios had allergies to peanuts or something..or some medical conditions...its just the way it works they give the studios to people who will find it difficult to live with other people....there are like 6-8 studios all togather anyway
