Residency Question....Grandfathered In?

While I will call and confirm with my daughter’s college in Oregon, we were wondering the following?

We lived in Oregon since she was in the 5th grade. She is currently in her last year of college and will graduate in June. Her father and I moved to California due to a job offer but again she has lived in Oregon and never moved with us. Is she in violation of residency requirements? We do claim her on our taxes. Will this be a problem if she signs up for FAFSA for graduate school? She is 23. Can she be considered “grandfathered” in since she was well into her college program and a resident since the age of 10?

Thank you!

Appendix II Section B 3:

This makes it sound like she is okay while continuously enrolled as an undergraduate.

FAFSA doesn’t care where you live. If she’s applying instate for oregon tuition, she should establish herself - voter registration, DL, permanent address. Since she’ll already have an undergrad degree, her financial aid may no longer depend on you.

Thank you so much!
