Residential Colleges and Partying/Social Life

Hey guys, I’ve heard that joining a residential college is a really good idea since it guarantees getting the nicest dorms, plus the bonding experience is really strong. I’m really hoping to get into the party scene, however, and I’m wondering if being in a residential college would affect this . Can anyone speak from experience?

My D just finished her 2nd year there. She was in residential college two years first as freshmen and 2nd year as a junior fellow. According to her there are all kinds in the res colleges and being in one won’t hinder your ability to go to parties if you want to.
