Residential Colleges now extended to all four years

So I just read that juniors and seniors will now be able to live in their residential colleges. Is that a meaningful change that will have an impact on student life? Will Princeton’s colleges be more like Yale’s?

Students at three of the residential colleges have had that option for quite some time, and the vast majority have opted to live somewhere else during their junior and senior years. So I don’t think the expansion of this policy to the remaining colleges will result in meaningful change, at least not in the short term; I think the eating clubs will continue to serve as the most prominent social hub for juniors and seniors.
