Residential Programs in the Quad Geared Toward Freshmen?

Are most of the res. programs in the quad geared toward freshmen? I'm an incoming freshman and thinking about applying to a few programs. I know that if accepted I would room with someone from the same program. Would I be more likely to room with a freshman or an upperclassman?

The overwhelming majority of students in the Quad are freshmen. There are a few upperclassmen, but they usually are RAs or in that type of position. I’m sure there are some exceptions, but not many. And yes, freshmen generally room with other freshmen.

Glad to find this topic! Any advice for which residential program in the quad to apply for a poly sci major interested in gender studies?

^ Just quickly reviewing the list of residential programs, she might be interested in (1) Penn Women in Leadership, and (2) Policy, Politics and Social Change:

But I recommend that she go through the entire list to also see if anything else interests her.

Found those, thank you! She doesn’t want my help, guess I’d better get used to that.

^ Yep–it’s how they learn to be self-sufficient adults. :)

[But, of course, while being secure in knowing that the parental safety net is always there if needed.] ;)
