Okay, I did some “speed test” online (I seriously don’t know how to test the bandwidth, lol)
And this was the result I got for my computer via resnet in my dorm room right now:

Download Speed: 6873 kbps (859.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1268 kbps (158.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

oh wow thats better than i expected. thanks!

No problem =)

Internet speed isn’t that big of a deal because you can’t use p2p on it anyways. We have a 4gb download/week cap and a 2gb/week upload cap. Everyone gets their stuff off of DC++ which is basically an irc-esque download program.

Trust me, you DON’T want to go over the limit. I guess I’ve become so dependent on my computer that I found it difficult not being able to check my email and all sorts of random stuff for 7 days earlier in the year because stupid-me thought it was a good idea to try a download movie via a torrent file. You would only have access to pages relating to Rutgers, like sakai, myrutgers, rutgers.edu.

Instead I just download stuff when I go home during the weekends because I’m very stupid when it comes to downloading via DC++. I tried using it, but I just couldn’t download anything (“no slots available” and all this crap). Everyone else seems to know how to do it though. Bleh.

That’s what I got.
