We are trying to write my D resume for her stage management resume. I've never done a theater resume. What is the best way to organize information? She's done over 30 shows in 3 years. I started with chronological but that seems disorganized. Maybe by theater? There are 4 different theaters. Any advice?

Thanks!!

Perhaps you could structure it similar to an acting resume. At the top will be your Ds name. Then, create a heading for Stage Management and then list all of the shows for which she was a stage manager (or assistant stage manager) in one column and the names of the theaters in another column. If she has other experience such as assistant stage manager, or other tech roles (or even as an AD), you could name this section Technical Theater and do the same thing. A column for the show, a column for the role (stage manager, lighting, etc.) and then a third column for the name of the theater.

Then, if she has other experience or training such as a master class or even a weekend course or camp, create a section for Education and list the name of the class, the instructor, and the institution or camp who provided that course.

Third, create a section for any honors. So any special achievements in theater (is she a Thespian? etc.)

Finally, a section for Additional Skills, such as foreign languages, ability to sew, etc. Things that make your D interesting, but aren’t necessarily a hard selling point for her tech theater skills.

Maybe also Google stage manager resume to see if you get any results that will help you with format.

Hope that helps!
