Resume option on Common App?

I’m sorry if this has been asked already but I’m totally confused. I was already familiar with Common App but after the reset there is now an option to add a resume that I hadn’t seen before. What’s that all about? Should I do it?

@abbidon I know that students routinely have added their resumes to the common app under additional information in the past. The common app made it easier, most likely, by adding a specific spot for it now. It can’t hurt to add it. More info for the adcoms to help them find reasons to admit you.

hmmmm… Is that a new feature now? If so, wish we had it last year.

You should provide your resume if you have any significant accomplishments and activities that the CA’s limited space doesn’t provide for. You shouldn’t provide it just because the CA gave that option.

Interesting new feature. I suppose it could allow one to go into more detail on some additional awards received, etc.

So wish the resume was a part of it last year - good add though DS18’s resume is short - may not be worth adding it – & would be helpful if students could add an update in February when their counselors do as well.
