I've heard that some schools do not want you to send a resume because they find it arrogant or bothersome (or whatever other reason).

Does anyone know if this is the case? I was going to attach under the additional info section on Common App.

I sent a hard copy in with my forms. Looks like it’s too late for me now!

They don’t want resumes that mostly reiterate what you have already told them in the application.

^True. But sending one in won’t make you an automatic reject. (I sent one in under “additional info,” although I’m not sure I “should” have, but I eventually got in anyway after being deferred SCEA.)

I feel like the common app doesn’t allow me to really show the depth of my ECs/work/volunteer experience. In my resume everything is organized in a way that is clear.

I have half a page of achievements (this would be somewhat repetitive), half a page of EC’s (I can show much more depth in this section) and then a page of volunteer/work history (where I give a mini job-description).

It’s also formatted to look pretty… so changing it would be a hassle.
Would it be best to change my resume and make it “additional information” that couldn’t fit in the common app? Would it hurt my chances if I do include a resume?

If you have time, I recommend changing the resume to include only the additional information.

Yeah I added my Resume in the Additional information section, and I expanded on the ones that I put in the extracurricular Common app page as well.
