I just got my Math2 and Physics score and I got 750 and 700 respectively.

I have scored 780 in Chem six momths ago.

MY SAT superscore is 2130.

My GPA - 4.0 and school rank is # 1. I have vast amount of medical research, hospital, doctor shadowing and leadership experience to compensate for less than stellar SAT scores. I have concocted good essays already and they will be very compelling.

I am looking into combined medical programs in:
Rice Baylor
Univ. of Miami
Wayne State
Case West
Union Albany
Ohio State
Penn State
Univ of Cinc
Univ of KY
UAB

BTW, I am from Florida and I am an Asian Indian women.

In addition, I am looking into pre-med programs at Emory/John Hopkins/Yale/Duke as well. Thanks folks

For OSU, you have to be National Finalist based on PSAT, have to be at least semifinalist to be able to apply. D. did not get to Case PPSP with very similar stats. She is senior in U of Cinc program, but we are in-state (it might not make difference). Not familiar with anything else.

^Good for you. That was the reason why D. could not apply, but she likes where she is anyway, meant to be. Definately apply to OSU, very good Med. School.

Thank you for the link!
I have no info on this program…any idea?
How many spots? preference to in state students? Average stats for people in?

Also, you seem to have a good chance at med programs. Your SAT score is not low at all:) Anything above 2100 is competitive. Moreover, med programs, unlike the Ivy league, look for the more well rounded candidate who can be the best doctor- not for someone who can do well on exams. Volunteer experiences and clinical experience is what makes a med program student stand out.

Thank you all. I am looking at in-state now closely. I hope that I can break 2300 this Fall to make sure the darn SAT is not going to mess my life. I really hope that I can get into Rice/Baylor. That would be my dream if I get a very good SAT score.
