Retake SAT or go woth ACT score only???

My daughter got a 33 on the ACT and on her first try on the SAT received
CR 760
Math 630
Writing 730

We live in the South and she wants to apply to some competitive schools.
Penn
Yale
Brown
Stanford
U Chicago
Tufts
Georgetown

She has won numerous awards and has outstanding ECs that I wont bore you with.(Some on an international level)and has won awards for academic excellence and leadership. Also has done tons of community service. All her EC make sense and are not all over the map but demonstrate obvious passion.

Would you reccommend her taking the SAT again (she really doesn't want to) or should she rather just submit her ACT score? Is it strong enough to carry her?

Conversion chart says that her ACT score is better by about 70 points. It's a rough conversion, but the ACT is most probably the higher score. From what I hear from other posters and from reading other chances/results threads though, I suggest maybe taking the SAT again. Some of those schools require 2-3 SAT II subject tests. No matter what, they'll see the SAT I. I don't know if they consider it or not, but they will see it. Take it as you will.

I would definitely take it again. Look up Xiggi's SAT review method and just practice focusing solely on the math. I'm sure she could raise her score by at least 100. A 1390/2120 won't be competitive at a lot of those schools. Raise it by 100 to a 730M....and you've got a 1490/2220 A LOT better chances I think (with superscoring). Still comparable with ACT, but you have superscoring to consider as well...the better she does on each section overall, the higher her reported score that colleges see.

don't retake, don't make her waste her time. have her focus on SAT II's or her school work. 33 = 2190 and colleges accept SAT/ACT equally.
