Retake Subject Test?

This discussion was created from comments split from: Georgetown subject tests.

My son took 3 subject tests: World History (760), US History (760) and Spanish (540). He thinks his Spanish score takes him out of any serious consideration of getting admitted. Rest of his portfolio: 1440 SAT, 3.9 UW / 4.1 W GPA, Two AP classes completed so far, both with 5s on the tests (English, and Environmental Science), he’s also an Eagle Scout, was selected as a Boys State delegate, but doesn’t have a ton of other ECs. Anyone have any thoughts on the impact of the 540 Spanish score?

He can retake Spanish and send the second score.
That score would be interpreted according to how many years were taken - it’d be decent for 2years of study.

thanks he’s had four years or Spanish / pre-AP Spanish, so not looking so good.

Can he take a different subject test, instead of Spanish?
