Retake the SAT I or SAT II CHEM again??

So i hope to apply REA for Stanford this fall.
I'm trying to decide whether to retake the SAT I (2200--second sitting, Superscore 2210) so that would mean SAT I a third try (i feel like i could def do better), or retake my SAT II CHEM score (730-one sitting).
I have a solid 780 on SAT II MATH so i won't be retaking that one.

It's either one or the other because there's only one more SAT date before the REA deadline.

What do you think I should do for Stanford 2016??!!?

What’s your breakdown for the SAT I? If it is rather unbalanced and you have a score in the high 600’s/low 700’s, then I would suggest retaking the SAT I instead of your SAT 2 Chem test.

it was Writing 800 Math 700 Reading 700

I think your chem and math 2 scores are fine, as a 730 isn’t that far off from 750, and 750+ are competitive for all top schools (Ivy Leagues, Stanford, MIT, etc.). Those math and critical reading scores do have a considerable room for improvement, so retaking your SAT I would be the best route.

^ agree …

I personally think you’re fine at the 2210. But if you feel like you can do better, and don’t mind sitting for the test again and paying for it, go for it. Oh, and don’t bother with retaking Chem.

do you think it’ll look bad if i take it three times?
i went:
2140—>2200—> Third time??

You know what would be really impressive? Retake the Math II, and get an 800, just to assure colleges that you’re that good at math.

Jdawg9999, it will not look bad if you took the SAT I three times. It’s only when you start taking it much more times such as 5 times or more that may give a university pause over your testing record. As long as you make some significant improvement (more than just 10 points) then it shouldn’t look “bad.”
