I was just wondering how badly colleges (and when I say colleges I mean HYPSM) look at your scores when you retake a test. I noticed that the Stanford app and the Common App don't require you to submit your test scores from all the dates that you took it. So suppose I retook an SATII test and submitted my latest score, which was retaken and very high, would they actually bother to check to see my first-time score? And if so, would they hold it against me?

They take your highest SAT II score. I think that's all there is to it.

I know people who have retaken the same SAT II three times for the sake of achieving an 800. The only thing that matters is your highest score.
