SAT I Retake

I need some opinions on whether or not I should retake the SAT.

One my first and only try, I got a 2330.

Breakdown:
CR-730
Math-800
Writing-800/9 on Essay

ACT-35 (36/36/34/34/10)
SATII- 800 Math II, 800 SAT US History, Possibly taking physics in January.

For the schools that only consider CR+M, is the 1530 too low? I am applying to HYPS and similar as an econ major most likely. I have a 4.0 uw GPA, and good E.C.s. Will colleges look negatively upon me if I retake with such a high score?

I wouldn’t bother. A 2400 is better than a 2330, but barely. A 2370 and a 2330 are pretty much the same. With subject tests (and possible APs) backing up those high scores, I think you’re fine. It wouldn’t be looked down upon (only when you take it more than twice does it become excessive), but it wouldn’t do much good, either. When you hear back from one of those schools (which are reaches for everybody, 4.0 or 2400 or not), don’t think that a negative result was caused by that score. They really don’t care nearly as much about that; once it puts you in the “high score pile,” they move on to other aspects.

You seem fine with all your other academic accomplishments imo xD

Only on College Confidential…

I guess because College Confidential is the only site that is willing to answer questions like this seriously. Who else do I have, Yahoo Answers?

I meant only on college confidential would someone question a 2330

Dude you’re fine …

Nope - you’re totally fine . . . dude. Congrats! Now, just how sweet can you refine those essays?
