Do you guys think it looks bad on a transcript when you retake a class online if you made a C/D in it? I have straight 100s in my classes this semester except for Honors Adv Alg/Trig.. I'm used to making As in math but I've been in a slump lately with being depressed and I've just lost all motivation. Plus the fact I can't concentrate because there are 40 people in my class.. (which I'm pretty sure is against some rule) But if you retake it, colleges will see your first score and the retaken score, but only the second will be on your GPA. I mean tbh, I think it's gonna look kind of bad, but I'm a sophomore and I'm currently at a 32 ACT the first time taking it, so it's not like I'm dumb or anything.. What do y'all think?

For GPA purposes it looks like you’re better off retaking it in order to increase it. In my opinion it seems that if you’re taking time to improve a grade then it shows that you actually care about your education. The 32 ACT score is very good but if you plan on applying for scholarships then the extra strong GPA can help you out.

It will be fine if you take it online. However, in online classes, all instruction is, at best, hands-off and distant. Your grade in that class will really count on how well you can index through your textbook during a timed exam. It’s really only you and your textbook. If you can handle that, then I think you should go for it! Congrats on your ACT score, too! That is really impressive. Good luck.
