Retaking SAT w/ 750 math?

Hey guys,

My college goals are up there with MIT and Stanford, generally the top Technology universities. I'm a Junior and I just took the SAT and got a 2340 with a 750 math. The scale was very harsh, and -2 ended up a 750.

I would never bother retake a 2300+ unless it were from the math score. Do you think that I should retake again later in Junior year, and if it would be worth it? Is 750 a good enough math school for the very top math/science colleges? Would doing good on other stuff like an 800 in Math II Subject Test and 5 on AP Calc make up for it?

Or would just showing that I took it once and was happy with it be a positive factor in admissions (without obsessing and taking again), and a 750 nothing worth fretting about?

The Stanford adcom for my area came to my school today and laughed at the prospect of a student getting a 2360 and retaking the SAT. However, if I were you, I would retake it.

Do not retake; it will make you look obsessive. A 2340 is GREAT and, in all probability, you will most likely get a worse score if you retake it. A 2340 is a top score for any school and a 750 math, in my opinion, is just as good as an 800 all things considered. But yes, getting an 800 in Math II or a 5 in AP Calc would help.

I also have the same Math Score of 750 & total SAT 2330 at October 2011.
I am also junior and I haven’t decided yet which university , I will apply .
I plan to retake SAT again next year.
