Retaking the SAT & SAT score needed for National merit

Hey,

Just wondering about some feedback. I got a 2150 on the SAT, which is toward the lower end of the 98th percentile I think. Score breakdown was 800 W/720 CR/630 M. I know I could at least get 720 or so on the math if I retook it because I fell asleep during one math section plus didn't really study the math for it. My question is should I retake the SAT if I want to be more competitive for colleges say Boston College or Univ. of Chicago? And also would I have to retake it anyway to be National Merit Finalist, cuz I already got 217 on PSAT which I think is high enough for WA? Appreciate replies.

You would not have to retake it to be a National Merit Finalist. However, If I were you, I would retake it in order to improve the math section score.

Good luck!

Awesome thanks.
