So these are the scores that I currently have:
SAT: 1530 (superscore 1540)
SAT II: Math Level 2 800, US History 760
I can either retake the SAT or take Physics and Spanish SAT II’s for my ED application.
What do you guys think I should do?
I’m expecting a 1550 on the SAT and 770+ for the subject tests.
FYI - I’m applying to Wharton.
You don’t need to retake any of those but if you insist, retake SAT. 800 & 760 are great scores. If you don’t get in, it won’t be because of your current scores.
versus a 1540? I’d call it a day.
ditto. You should consider yourself done with testing. If you get rejected, IMO, it will not be because of your scores.
Spending the additional time fine-tuning your essays will be more valuable for the application package that another 10 points.
If I could get a 1560 or 1570, would it be worth retaking the SAT? I’m in a similar situation. I also have a 1540 super score and considering to retake the SAT before ED deadline.
@plzacmtwbs No, I think that if you are going to get accepted, you would get accepted with a 1540, admissions views 1540-1600 all the same (this is at least what an admission officer told me)
@plzacmtwbs If you could get a 1570, then yes I would take it. It’s pretty much the same as a 1540, but still it will give you a slight edge.
@dreambig22 Those scores are good – 10 extra points on the SAT is not worth the time. Focus on the app instead. You definitely don’t need any more subject tests.
