Returning to college for religious studies

Thanks in advance for your help. I'm thinking of returning to finish an undergrad degree, after putting my four kids through school (3 masters degrees, and one in an excellent undergrad program in Boston). This is the beginning of my search, and I'm early in the stage of trying to find a good fit.

My interest is religious studies (or spiritual traditions studies if there is such a thing). My last college experience was the early eighties, but at that time I was a good student attending a state college in Massachusetts. I had to drop out due to illness. Over the almost thirty years since then I've owned a few companies and managed several high profile projects, but my background is design (architecture to product development).

My preference would be to find a school that takes life experience into consideration. Upon application for admissions, although my previous education was unrelated to religious studies, my essay would demonstrate an educated understanding of the classics and practices of various religions. I don't know if that would carry me anywhere, but worth a try I suppose.

To complete the background, I live in Colorado. Boulder is down the road a ways, but accessible. Naropa and CU Boulder are a few I know about. It should be said that I'm looking perhaps for a comfort and community life that fits my age and wisdom too (I'm 51), and something not based on competition, but cooperation. Naropa is considered a "Comtemplative Education". That sits well with me.

Might be open to starting online. Would love to hear from anyone who this thread creates a "hit" with. :)

Thanks for your help and suggestions!
