<p>I was wondering, are there any summer REUs for incoming freshmen to college who are planning to major in physics/comp. sci/math, whose deadlines have not passed for application?</p>

<p>Why not just hit random professors and see if they would be willing to work with you?</p>
<p>yeah, i know, it’s just that i wasn’t aware that reus existed. Since I have nothing to do this summer, I thought that would be great… till I found out most of their deadlines past :(</p>
<p>I imagine you’d also have a really difficult time getting an REU before you even start college. It’s extremely difficult to get one the summer after your freshman year, so you’d need to be bringing something really special to the table to land one of them.</p>
