It is an interesting list but im not sure what help it is to those looking for undergrad colleges.

These are all research universities, so LACs are not going to appear here. One criticism the LACs level at the Big U is that they are so focused on grad programs undergrad education becomes secondary. If so, this could be a list of colleges to avoid.

Tufts, at #34, is the only school that is not a member of the AAU - which is an academic fraternity for research focused universities.

They could have been a little more direct and just called it the Colleges with the most patents.

@mitchklong I don’t think that is true. This could be a helpful list for a student who might want a more pre-professional, practical education, someone who has entrepreneurial interests and someone who wants to be in a dynamic, forward-looking environment. Also many of these schools have the actual professors who make all these innovations teach the undergrads, hold office hours and really interact with the students. Also undergrads have access to the labs and projects of these professors and thus can get great exposure to cutting edge research.
