I’d just like to know what echelon of school I’m competitive for and if I should be doing something differently. Thank you.

OK, this is going to come across as harsh, but this is an absolutely silly question. You haven’t given ANY real relevant information, just stats. The echelon of school should be your LEAST concern. What should matter is what type of environment you want to be in, small, medium or large? East coast, West coast, Midwest or South? Weather? Hobbies? Cost? Major? Any other intangible that’s important to you? THAT’S what matters, not how hard it is to get in. My son agonized until the last day between a very selective engineering program and one that lets nearly everyone in. They BOTH had great strengths. I’m an optometrist. I went to a land grant Midwestern university for undergrad. My career has been quite a bit more fruitful than that of a friend of mine who went to an Ivy. The road is littered with students who took the prestige over all tact and then hated their school choice after they got there. Figure out what type of experience you want. Only then can anyone give you useful advice. Good luck!

“W GPA: 4.3”

Weighted GPA is calculated very differently at different high schools. What is your unweighted GPA? Alternately, how many A’s, B’s, and C’s do you have?

“Unsure about major”

Do you have some sense what sort of majors might be likely? Do you like math, or music, or English Literature, or something else?

Do you want a large school or a small school? Do you want to be in a big city or a small city or a small town? Do you like snow and skiing, or would you rather be in the south?

Do you know what your budget is? Some private schools in the US can now cost over $80,000 per year. If you took five years to graduate, would your parents be okay paying $400,000? Knowing what your budget is very important in picking a university to attend.

What is your home state?

You have some time to sort this out. However, this is a good time to start thinking about what you want in a university.

“The road is littered with students who took the prestige over all tact and then hated their school choice after they got there.”

This is very well said, and IMHO worth an upvote.
