Review my boring old list, perhaps?

So, hi. I'm a senior who is (surprise surprise) finalizing my college list. Specifically, I have too many potential safeties and would like help deciding which ones to keep.

THE STATS (because I know people will ask for them.)

Female
Caucasian
competitive public high school, suburban Boston
GPA: UW 3.91; W 4.38
SAT: 2290 (800CR, 760M, 730W)
SAT II: Lit 770, French 800
School doesn't rank; I am solidly in the top 10%.
ECs: various, mostly related to music, folk music, folk dance and American Sign Language. Some community service/volunteering.
Awards: a few school writing awards, etc. National Merit Semi-finalist.

THE LIST
Reaches:
Brown
Pomona
Swarthmore (ED)

Matches:
Haverford
Wesleyan

Safeties:
Kenyon
Goucher
Pitzer
Brandeis
William & Mary

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
Small-ish liberal-artsy school, co-ed, not urban, not preppy, not drinking won't socially exclude me, challenging academics, linguistics program a plus but not a requirement, some opportunities to sing/dance/act/etc. Any kind of connection to American Sign Language a BIG plus but not a requirement.

Thank you in advance!

Good list but you don;t need that many safeties. Dump a safety and add in another high match, maybe Vassar?

I agree with Slipper. I would definite drop a couple of safeties, although I am not so sure William and Mary qualifies as a safety for any OOS applicant. Definitely check out Princeton, Amherst, Bowdoin, Carleton, Dartmouth and Grinnell.

How about Oberlin? It's got almost twice as many students as Kenyon, so it would probably be able to handle your wide variety of interests a little better.

Thank you! I have visited/considered many of the schools you suggested and I feel much better about my list now.

I would seriously consider adding one of the schools suggested by the posters just to hedge your bets. Otherwise good list!
