Hi, everyone,

I recall that there was a thread months ago, which may have been revived recently, citing a news article describing an inside view of the Harvard admission process. Now that this year's admission season has announced results, and as I prepare to attend a meeting in my city of the Exploring College Options group of colleges (which includes Harvard), could we please review what everyone knows, and what possibly few people know, about the admission process at Harvard?

Next year Harvard goes to a single-deadline system, having only a regular admission round with no early round. Applicants will submit the Common Application with the Harvard Supplement before the specified deadline, and then what happens? How are the applications read when they first arrive in the admission office? What later steps are taken as the applications are decided on?

Thanks for any information you have. I'll ask follow-up questions at the local meeting in my town,

and I'd like to prepare well beforehand.
