Thank you :)

bump it up. i will chance back!

I’ll be honest, the only schools I reallly know about are Northwestern/Ivies :S But your GPA and test scores are suuper low for all of those schools, though if you get your SAT score up to 32 you miight have a shot. Your ECs seem really solid though…but I think even with that target score, you have a slim to none chance at Princeton  Northwestern/Brown/Dartmouth are veryyy high reaches, but possible if you write good essays AND get that score up to 32. Also, if you end up deciding to submit the SAT score, remember that most schools require at least one or two subject tests- have you taken those? Good scores on subject tests might balance it out a little bit…

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/789037-chance-me-scea-yale-other-top-schools-pretty-ish-formatting.html</a></p>

Ivy leagues are very high reaches.

Haven’t heard of the other schools so you probably won’t have trouble getting accepted since your GPA/scores are average.

Chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/791702-delaware-college-park-jhu-umbc.html#post1063346810</a></p>

A 4.55 is super low?

Unfortunately for the Ivies it is way too low, and that includes Notre Dame. Your ACT even at a 32 or SAT of 1950 is a no go for #7-9, maybe even 10. ND’s avg is 33/34. ND is not as prestigious as an Ivy. Most of the applicants for those schools(Ivies) will be pushing closer to a 4.9-5.0 and will have tons more of APs, plus most will have a 2300+ SAT. Lafayette is probably the least difficult. It becomes more difficult to be accepted from Ivies than IS. Just like it is more difficult to be accepted to Clemson if you are from NC.

To pull the ACT up to a 32, will be incredibly hard from a 28, unless you only tanked in one area and that is why you got a 28. Remember the ACT composite is the combined avg, meaning you are going have a hard road to hoe to make up 4 points.

Your very best chance of getting an honest response is to check out the actual college threads, and see how you rack and stack on there.

I know plently of people who got into Ivies with ~2200 SAT. The weighted GPA is also dependent of the school. For example, the best possible weighted GPA at my schools is ~4.8.

SATs are far, FARRR too low for Princeton, Brown, etc.

Oh so you guys are talking out of 5.0? In my school a 4.0 is a 100…

bump it up.

A 4.0 UW is 100, a 4.55 would be W and that is low for a 5.0 W for any IVY.

Of course there will be many people with only 2200, but those people have hooks to overlook the SAT. I.E. recruited athlete, a URM, or personal life story, etc.

soxhawk, I think unfortunately you would like to read something you are not seeing here. 5 out of 5 responses are saying your reaches are really high reaches.

The only thing I could add is that Wake will be a low reach, again the ACT/SAT is killing you and WF uses that for merit.

Also, go to the actual college thread and ask to be chanced there, you will get more true answers because the respondents, typically have been there/done that, additionally, you will see the stats of your competition.

Good luck.

bump it up

no shot at ivies, northwestern, nd, and maybe wake forest.

ur gpa is incorrect btw. its probably around a 4.1-4.2

Well the ivies are high reaches, but they’re reaches for everyone. You would need some sort of hook to be a more interesting candidate.
But don’t rule out the tough schools. Pick out one you’re very interested in, and try.
A better SAT score would give you a better chance.

I’m an international student, so I don’t have the same grading-system as you. But I’m sure my GPA aren’t better than yours and my SAT score probably won’t be either.
But I’m still aiming for northwestern and keeping my hopes up with hooks(ex. geographic diversity) and great recommendations.

As everyone else already told you, your chances are slight for the top schools.
The others I don’t really know anything about.

Write an awesome essay and try!

Chance me?
