[REVISED] SAT score of the mid 700s

SAT score of mid 700s
if somebody with 3.9-4.0 gpa has a SAT score of mid 700s for each reading, math, and wirting

would u say that that person has a pretty good chance of getting into prestigious colleges? (such as harvard, princeton, yale, standford, MIT, etc)

********this somebody is NOT ME, im a sophomore who havent' even taken SAT
please dont' asssume that im being insecure or posted this to like brag about me!!
I was just purely curious!

ONCE AGAIN
THE ANSWER IS NO.
You’re going to get the same answers as on the last thread.

You’d be academically in good standing. The top schools will, after verifying your academic ability to handle their coursework, go on to evaluate the more subjective and personal aspects of your application.

Good stats won’t get you in, but they’ll get you in the running.

I don’t know what the other thread says, but the answer is not necessarily. SATs and GPAs are benchmarks. What truly gets you in is your uniqueness (whether that be your character, ec, nobel prize…).

This is why I like state schools. You don’t need to worry about the subjective jazz…just get high SAT and a good GPA and you’re in :)
