Does anyone know what you do at revisit days? What u wear? Is it scary? Is anyone else going? In April?

In the Exeter acceptance email there is a link to revisit days and all of that info.

Hi as a current Lawrenceville student/someone who has toured a revisit day kid last year, I can tell you that revisit days are very laid back and you shouldn’t be scared. You’ll basically go to a initial meeting with all of the revisit day kids in our auditorium (for introduction etc.), and then you’ll get matched with a tour that you’ll follow the entire day. You’ll get to see classes, talk to sports coaches/performing arts teachers, and experience how to is living on campus. Your guide will answer any question and I mean ANYTHING. Ask about how life really is- after all, you’re already into the school and we want you here!

@iAmMe77 Thank you so much! I was really worried about it… Do u have a dress code at Lawrenceville? What is the typical thing people wear to revisit days as a girl? Do you think a blazer, a white tee shirt, jeans, and vans are too casual or too formal?

That seems fine (maybe a little too formal with a blazer?)… If you’re really wondering, check out facebook(DOT)com/lawrencevillelookbook which is a student run facebook page. I suggest scrolling down to the posts from October for what people wear around campus.

I’m wondering about this too. Do y’all think a dress is too much? It’s a plain dress, but idk.

The pictures make it seem casual. Is it completely casual or semi-formal? @iAmMe77

All my Lawrenceville friends say casual for girls and collared shirts for guys @mrnephew

Thanks!!! @iAmMe77

Yeah I’d say thats true… guys usually wear collared shirts/button downs with khakis (but my no means what everyone wears) and girls have free reign as long as they look nice and don’t wear a tank or a super short skirt. dresses are fine

Wear whatever you’re comfortable with for revisit day! you’re already into the school

My freshmen friend at Lawrenceville said “just wear something nice and comfortable because chances are you’ll be meeting people who will go to school with you next year! dress code for girls is like dressy-casual so you can’t wear like t-shirts with logos and stuff on them but it’s not as rigid as with guys who have to wear collared shirts and “slacks” u don’t wanna be a try-hard you know with like a formal dress but just wear something you feel confident and comfortable in that will make a good first impression :)) just dress to impress you know?”

I was planning to dip dye my hair bright pink and I have black hair and I was wondering if people at Lawrenceville dye their hair crazy colours And r those ppl liked by teachers? And also if I show up to Lawrenceville revisit day with pink hair, will ppl judge me ?Like faculty and students… I’m actually a nerdy kid who never ever creates trouble and I am frankly a goody two shoes but I really want to dip due my hair pink but I don’t want to ruin my first impression

@iAmMe77 what do you think?

Have you guys receive admission packet (you know, snail mail)? We checked acceptance online but no email, no USPS, no nothing! Quite weird…

Oh I got mine already but I live 15 min away from Lawrenceville @SharingGift

1 h away, but I wouldn’t think that make any difference… even pony express should have delivered by now. :(

I got mine yesterday. It seems to be taking a while. I live within a few hours of the school. If you live farther it’s probably going to take longer.

People using bright hair dyes are definitely in the minority (I can’t think of anyone I know and have maybe seen one person with hair dye)

Is there a true “dress code” for the school - not for revisit days, but every day?

I don’t attend L’ville, but it seems to be a casual dress code. You have to dress nicely, but by no means is that blazers and slacks for everyone (though some can dress like that). You can’t wear simple t shirts, but you can wear jeans.
