If you only get accepted to one school, are you still going to go to revisit days? If I am accepted to more than 1 school, I'd like to go back for revisit days. But, if I only get accepted to one, I am not sure it is worth the $$ to fly east for the visit. What about you guys? Do the international students come for revisit days. I thought a flight from San Francisco to CT or NJ is expensive, I can't imagine what it costs to fly from Seoul or Singapore!

yes, i still would, just to make sure this is the right choice for me.

Yeah I agree with you, Dazzlezzz. It would be awful to go to the school w/out at least spending one day there. But, I am not sure my parents will pay for me to fly out to see just one school. We'll see. Hopefully I will have more chances, so I will have to visit!

I saw you're applying to St.Pauls, Deerfield, Hotchkiss, Asheville, and
NMH. Did you interview at all those schools on campus or did you have alumni interviews? Where do you live?

whrer did you see that?
I'm an abc applicant, so I hadf my interview with ABC alumni. For safety reasons, I'll just say I'm in the southeast.

oh, I'm not a stalker or anything! I saw it on the http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/prep-school-admissions/460161-please-post-5.html#post1059820605 thread. Sorry if I freaked you out!

I will try to visit the school. I am an international student too but I am now in the US. My problem is just I have to travel with an adult so my parents will have to pay for her.

Oh geez,
whoops I understand.
None of that ever happened.
did you do on-campus interviewes?

Yes I did on campus interviews.

nns91, did you visit the schools for your interview or did you have them in your country?

What is an ABC applicant?

Thanks!

the scary thing for me is, I have never seen the schools I'm applying to (we cant afford it.) So I'm basing my future on viewbooks, reviews, and CC.

A

C hance.

It's an orginization that recomend stidents o color to good prep schools boarding and day.

I didn't do my interview on campus. I had a phone interview

Thanks. I am not familiar with it, but I just checked out it's web site. I had read about Prep for Prep, and I think these are great programs. Good luck to you!

Also, I think that even if you only get in to one school, you should try to visit on the "revisit" days. You will meet people, and be less nervous on your first day of school. But, it may not be financially possible for everyone, so I would understand if you couldn't visit.

Think positive thoughts! I am sure that you will be successful.

Thanks

what happens on a revisit day? do you just get a tour?

Yeah, are they different then the origional visits?

yeah ive only been on campus twice, whats different about revisit?

For a typical revisit day, you will be assigned a student or two. You will attend classes with that student(s), perhaps a school assembly, will probably spend some time in a dorm and sample the dining room for lunch. Your parents will have separate activities. It's a taste of what life will be like at that school. For those who can, it is worthwhile going to the revisits of your accepted schools. Small to medium schools usually have 2 possible dates, and larger schools may have more. Usually they are held the last week of March and the first week of April. Keep those weeks open. If any of you want to create a thread with revisit days, I think most of them should be posted on the schools' websites.

oh so is it like a full day? what do parents do?

Yeah, is it a full day? Becuase we went to 1 class the last time we went, also one assembly.
