Rhodes for Physics.. ?

Would you recommend Rhodes for someone who wants to go into physics for UG?

IMO definitely. Good facilities - labs, machining tools, observatory, etc. Good professors. Good research opportunities (NASA, St. Jude, two local biomed device makers).

Yep. Rhodes would be great. I remember some pretty cool research done by some physics students in the past couple of years. lynxinsider, is that physics scholarship still around? Was it the Jack Taylor? Rhodes sciences are in very good shape (although I know mostly about Bio and Chem).

Another yes vote. DH graduated with a physics major from Rhodes about 30 years ago–had a number of excellent options open to him after graduation and has had a very successful career in atmospheric/space physics.

DD (current junior) has a roommate who is a physics major–having an excellent experience.

@curmudgeon, yes it is the Jack H. Taylor Scholarship in Physics. [Rhodes College | Taylor Scholarship in Physics](http://www.rhodes.edu/finaid/1413.asp)
