Rice, Davidson, or Vassar? HELP!

I've been considering my acceptances and can't determine which is my overall favorite. Please share your advice and/or experience!!!

What do you intend to study? What are you looking for in a college experience?

I’m most interested in history. Also want to study more about physics and anthropology.
I’m interested in having opportunities to study abroad, get to know my professors, and possibly help conduct research.

Douglas Brinkley teaches at Rice every fall semester. Look him up on Google.

Great schools. Feel free to PM me-- I was accepted to Davidson and Rice and chose Davidson.

Vassar’s male/female ratio is terrible and it is very liberal. Vassar also has a huge hipster/hippie scene.
Davidson or Rice would be my choice unless you are into the hipster scene and are comfortable being surrounded by radical leftists.

OP, please don’t listen to stereotypes about Vassar or any of the other schools you are thinking of attending. (S1 is a recent Vassar grad, a moderate/conservative, biology major and an athlete. He loved his Vassar experience.) Vassar, like Davidson and Rice, have students from all different backgrounds and political views. I have known students from each of these school who were very happy with their educations. You can’t go wrong with any of these schools.

“Vassar’s male/female ratio is terrible”

Or wonderful, depending on how you look at it. :)

I’d go to Rice in your situation, simply because Houston>Davidson/Poughkeepsie.

Such different schools…
Davidson is tiny in a small community. Rice is much bigger in a huge city. Both are 50:50 M:F. Vassar is small mostly F. YOU need to decide what environment you want. Academics will be great at each.
My choice would be Rice but I’m biased as D is a current student there and it’s close to perfect IMHO.

What’s important to you in this decision? Location, research opportunities, size, M/F ratio…?

All three are great schools but Vassar and Rice are superior to Davidson. I would remove Davidson from the choice because it is too small and is not as prestigious as Vassar or Rice.

The above comment surprises me. Davidson is ranked highly in terms of its undergraduate focus.

Prestige-wise, Rice.
