@NIGHTLOCK A match scholar too? WOW. Extremely proud of you.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed, I and the rest of the people that applied ED in hopes of attending with NIGHTLOCK next year! Good luck to all. Cheers.

How did everyone get their results so early?!?!?

@MattTheKoala I think only QuestBridge applicants have started to hear back from Rice. The rest of us ED applicants have 12 more days or so

Questbridge scholars are admitted through a separate process.

Wow I feel so stupid, but what’s QuestBridge?

<a href=“QuestBridge - Wikipedia”>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QuestBridge

This summarizes it up pretty well. Also, this is the qb page for Rice http://www.questbridge.org/rice-overview

Just got my Esther link! Decision time is fast approaching!

@Antarius does everyone get the Esther link or do they only send it to people who made it to the final part of the decision process?

If I plan not to apply for financial aid, should I still activate my Esther account before admission decisions are released?

Yesterday, Rice contacted my guidance counselor at school and requested my progress report (current grades). Does this mean anything? (I applied ED)

@ucladude, I’m also an ED applicant, but here are my two cents. Did you submit your grades yet? A transcript at all when you applied? This can be done through Naviance, which I did, and probably through postal mail? Log onto your student portal for Rice and just check if your transcript and/or high school report has been sent to Rice. Rice needs to take a look at your full application and is probably just missing that section of it. No worries.

If you have already submitted your transcript, high school report, all the works, then no sweat. Just follow Rice’s directions and submit it again. I’m not sure if it means anything, but hopefully someone else can chime in. Good luck dude.

@owl2019, You do not have to completely follow my advice, but here’s what I think. I set up my ESTER account today, and regardless of you apply to fin aid or not, ESTER is still a tool to track scholarships, grants, etc - essentially all the financial aid information if you were to attend Rice. If you think ESTER may affect your application status, then hold off. I personally do not see a chance it will.

Again, you don’t not have to follow my advice, but hopefully I just gave you a tad bit of insight.

@kokko2k15 I already submitted transcripts and they have received them a long time ago. They specifically requested for a progress report for senior year.

@rice3579 I got the link.

@Kokko2k15 Thank you for your insight!

Ugh. So nervous. The suspense is doing a number on me.

@Rice3579 - Everyone should get it. That’s how you can view your tuition bill etc and I believe the status of your application.

@owl2019 - It is up to you. It will not impact your admission in any way

9 days and 23 hours! Into single digits… XD
