Rice Engineering

<p>So, I saw that there was another thread on this, but I think my question is a bit more specific, so here it is:</p>

<p>How would you rank the Rice undergrad engineering program in comparison to the smaller ivies like columbia or UPenn? I know I want to do engineering, but I'm not sure what type of engineering I would like to pursue. Keeping that in mind, does Rice have a reputed engineering department overall?</p>

<p>rice has an excellent undergrad engineering program. I just finished up in chemical engr. and am now working for a consulting company. People seem impressed about my rice degree, so that says something.</p>

<p>But from a factual perspective, rice is ranked very high for engineering. </p>

<p>Are you leaning toward chemical/bioe or electrical etc?</p>

<p>an inclination will help, as we have one of the top bioe programs in the country</p>
