<p>I am applying to Rice using the Rice application. </p>
<p>I wanted to know how big the essay on work experience or educational experience should be. Currently mine is as big as one page in a ms word, but i just wanted to make sure as there is no restriction mentioned on what size it should be. </p>

<p>There really is no restriction, I don't think. Mine was ~half a page double spaced.</p>
<p>Half a page double spaced for me, too. If you're doing the Rice app online, then there is a little leeway. However, if you're filling out the paper application, you need to be able to fit it into the lines provided (I had to make my handwriting very small in order to fit everything I wanted to write in).</p>
<p>^ I completely hear ya on that one...</p>
<p>Even if you are using the paper application... you can always write on the lines provided "Please see attached sheet for response" and then attach your essay. They said in the instructions that you can add additional sheets where necessary, so that's what I did.</p>
<p>As long as all of it is relavent... they normally dont mid the extra length</p>
