Rice students, what were your safeties that you would have loved to go to?

??????????????

are you going around doing this for multiple schools?!

find schools you LIKE to back up with....not what others liked

Sometimes it is good to know what schools other students who liked your number one school also liked... since a lot of times you have similar interests and preferences.

Obviously, you don't want to go by that list no matter what... but it's a helpful tool.

I'm not a Rice student (but I'm applying this fall) but other schools I'm really interested include Case Western, Carnegie, and UChicago. I know that a lot of students who apply to Rice also apply to WashU...

Rice is still my favorite by far, though. ; )

Thank you, yeah i definatly understand i will have to chose myself, but as you said, it helps to know what other people though

Yeah... it gives you a chance to look into some schools you might not have noticed otherwise.

Rice was the only school I applied to last year so I didn't have any safeties. But after having been here a month and talking to quite a few people it seems like a lot of people use Rice as a safety. Of course these are the ivy league people. Other than that it seems like the majority of Rice applicants applied to Cornell, University of Chicago, Emory, Duke, and UC Berkley. People don't really discuss their safety schools...

University of Rochester fits that category for me.

Cornell ;)
