good listing of schools for Rice?

<p>Rice asked me what schools I'm applying to, I said:</p>

<p>Univeristy of Conn, Duke, Harvard, UPenn, Univ of North Carolina Chapel Hill</p>

<p>I want them to offer me merit money, but I don't want them to think they're my "safety"</p>

<p>is that a good list?</p>

<p>some other schools I'm doing are UMich, Washu, Columbia, Tufts, BU, UMiami, but didn't want to include those.</p>

<p>Don't include Harvard. I don't care about the rest, but don't put Harvard. They will assume it's your first choice.</p>

<p>anyways, if it was me, I'd just concentrate on my safeties too, lol they don't need to know all my colleges, not like they can find out.</p>

<p>also, remember, they won't give you merit money based on what colleges ur applying to lol. They'll give you merit money based on ur stats. So I'd just put UConn... and schools around that.</p>

<p>I just answered it honestly. Stanford, Yale, Dartmouth, Northwestern, WashU, Duke, Swarthmore. If they don't like it, too bad.</p>

<p>i don't see how they could...i never put that information down anywhere, i left it blank on every supplement that asked. it's none of their business, it's an optional question (and in my opinion, a dirty one). if you go on the main page to featured threads archive, there's a thread about this question...several other people said they left it blank too.</p>

<p>i know but i'm fairly positive they can see it because on the commonapp it says ANY college you are applying to can see all of your information, even what you have not submitted. so i'm pretty sure they can see all the schools you have on your list.</p>

"No, colleges will not be able to see other colleges to which you are applying."</p>
