Hi, I have an interview at Richmond later this month and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice? What kinds of questions are typically asked?

Supposedly, this can’t hurt you. That said, I interview prospective students as an alum, and I most certainly note if the person seems disinterested or has failed to make the effort of reviewing basic knowledge of the university.

Be prepared to share why you like UR, talk about your past experiences and why you’re more than qualified to be a Spider. If you are able to demonstrate that you put forth effort towards preparing for the interview, it will go a long way towards having a positive review written.

Also, ask questions. This is your time to ask someone who has been in your shoes about their experiences and try to determine if UR might be a good place for you to live for four years.

Thanks so much for your advice! I definitely will come prepared.
