Can't decide. Any comments are welcome.

For a reasonable answer, provide some information about yourself and what you want out of college and keep in mind that you're asking the question on the Tulane forum.

Richmond is a good school and a really beautiful campus, maybe even more beautiful than Tulane and Richmons is not a bad town. The University of Richmond is a little isolated in its location though so has less of a city school feel. The academics at both schools are about on a par. The student body at Richmond seems to be even wealthier, if that is possible than at Tulane.

This is really one of those choices where you would have to visit the two schools. They are different enough that one of them would feel like a better fit for you but there isn't anything academically to clearly differentiate them. They are just both good schools.

The overall feeling of the two cities could not be more different. They are both beautiful, but in different ways. In general, as cities go, New Orleans is liberal, Richmond more conservative.

From what I understand about these two schools, the student population generally fits the same mold.

This is a case where a visit to both should yield the one that feels best for you. I know many people who don't care for the New Orleans atmosphere, unless there for just a few days. Others, myself included (along with S who is at Tulane) totally love it.

It's a VERY individual thing. I certainly hope you've at least had a chance to visit both campuses so you have a sense of each place.
