haha jetforge you stole my comment.

3 samples??

pinkerfloyd you can probably use pidgeonhole principle but i’m too lazy to do it

you only need 2 marbles, i believe. you take one from the red bag (or blue bag) and then one from the blue bag (or red bag). and then you’re done. lol

if you only took 2 how would you know which one is the mixed bag. You’d have to take 53 marbles i believe.

explain: supposing you pick from the red bag first, then the blue bag
3 possibilities:
R R
B R
B B
(cannot be R B as that would force one of the labels to be right)

if it’s R R then the first bag is r/b the second is r and the third is b
if it’s R B then the first bag is r/b the second is b and the last is r
if it’s B B then the first bag is b the second is r/b and the last is r

you’re all wrong so far… jet, i’m not sure what you’re talkin gabout.

so CR, what’s your answer? how many samples?

where am i wrong pinker. maybe i’m tired but what i said seems to make sense. correct my mistake so i can go “Duh!”

if you take one from the bag titled “mixed” first, then you would know what color marble is in it(depending on the color marble you pick).

Let’s say you picked a RED marble. Then you’d go to the bag titled RED and pick one out, if it’s red, then it must be the mixed bag. But if it’s blue, then you know thats the blue bag.

And from there you can find out whats in the third bag.

2 marbles.

OH IM AN IDIOT

1 marble

duh

waitnevermind that doesnt make any sense…i’m confused now

oh wow i completely misread the problem

explain it, CR.

wait, i guess its not two pinker?

see the thing is, i don’t think my logic fails on the 2. so if it’s not 2 it has to be 1. i just can’t figure out how to do it in 1. lol

how is that??

oh its 1. pick one from either the Blue or Red bag. Lets say Red.

If the marble is red. then you know its mixed.

So then you know that the bag titled “mixed” is blue. and the one titled “blue” is red.

yes! good job, laker

new riddle: f(t)=(e^t)*sinh(t)
find L{f(t)}

yeah it was too simple. nicely done.

question is did you get the ec right on the test?
