I know ND is a difficult school overall. I’m just wondering, how challenging is the Economics program overall? I’m certain there would be plenty of assigned reading. Also, is there a specific year that’s known for being the hardest?
I would say it’s about the same as any other Economics program. I’ve loved my professors so far. I didn’t struggle with intro classes at all, though I know it gets much more math intensive for classes like Econometrics. Every major has a few killer courses like that, but overall I think you’ll be fine.
Also, there will be almost no assigned reading. it will be mostly problem sets in most econ classes. Most Econ majors pick up a second major in the humanities because there’s so little reading involved in Econ.
Hope this helps, and Go irish!
