You need to talk to your GC to see what they consider rigorous for your school.
At my D’s HS, some of these easier APs (APES, psych, stats) wouldn’t make the cut especially since they are at the expense of AP english, AP core sciences, etc…
I’m not seeing foreign language, chem, or physics?
Why don’t you list all the classes you have taken for 9-10th so posters can have a clearer picture of what advice to give you regarding your schedule. Are you a CA resident? How many AP classes are offered at your HS?
What kind of grades have you gotten so far?
UW and SLO will consider 9-11th grades for admission purposes and GPA calculation. UC’s will consider 9-11th grades for admission eligibility but only 10-11th for GPA calculations. HS course rigor is important but so are good grades. The UC’s are especially GPA focused so high test scores do not always makeup for low HS course rigor or grades.
Your 10th grade schedule is light - you really should have taken Spanish.
You might want to take physics instead of AP Psych and replace regular gov/econ with the Honors or Ap version but I don’t think it’ll be key. You have excellent grades in what looks like a rigorous schedule for your school.
One year of foreign language is most likely going to eliminate all those schools on your list. Agree with the others on APES AP Psych and AP Stats. Art? The only AP class that is helpful IMO is AB.
At my kid’s high school rigorous is highest level in math, science, history, foreign language and english. So for example my junior daughter takes honors chem ap english ap history honors spanish and honors pre calculus. That is the highest level allowed for a junior at our high school and I think the schools judge you against what is offered at your high school.
What is your weight-capped UC GPA? This number could matter…alot. I do not know if the Spanish will hurt you since you did get through level 3 (even though only 1 year of that was in HS.) Your SAT is great, better than your grades. Sometimes schools wonder about that. Good luck!
UC’s will look at the level you have achieved for Spanish which is Level 3, so you are fine with your FL.
Here is the UC GPA calculator. The UC’s will look at all 3 UC GPA’s. The capped weighted is the most common GPA quoted for the UC stats and you can calculate until the end of your Junior year since they it only uses 10-11th grades for the a-g courses. Also on UC approved, AP/IB or DE courses will be given the extra weighting.
For 10th grade, your only weighted class was Honors Chem. For 11th grade, it may be too late but I would drop AP Stats or APES and try to fit in a Physics course instead.
Some UC admit and statistical data below. Just remember that GPA is very important to the UC’s along with HS course rigor, test scores and essays. Also intended major will impact your chances.
